The 587 has a series of 5mm allen head bolts securing the water plate to the head, the 657 and 717 do not have these allen head bolts, just the11 mm head bolts, the 657 has a very large exit hose coming off the top of the head on the right side , the 717 has a regular size hose about 1/2 to 5/8...

I am running into an issue on the 300SX where I need a pole spring, the SN superjet one is about the right design but the inside diameter is too small, I was thinking of making one or several maybe, thing is this is a pretty sturdy spring.Anyone think it is possible to handwind one of these ?

I am back from the scouting trip and I really liked what I saw, the only drawback I saw was a fairly long no wake zone, this place is out in the middle of nowhere, not a house in sight, no one to piss off, nobody to bother. This is about a five minute drive from the campsite but well worth it...
