I have about the same - $2530 with removal of old carpet and padding, new carpet and padding, and them moving my furniture around. That was with a stairwell in there too. Ha! Quac did ask why I was taking so many pictures.

I trashed my old Berber. I am putting in low-end, FHA approved, standard pile carpeting. My sales hottie called it "move-out" carpeting. I really like it though. I think it may be because it's new.
