Other Hurricane Sandy on the Great Lakes

I'll be checking out the 20+ footers in Cleveland in the morning. Might ride, but I doubt it....too nasty. Gonna try to get some good vid, but it'll be hard, waterproofing my camera right now and will bust out the gopro.

Other Before Prepping for Sandy, Southern NJ.

Believe it....I've been out in 14's on Erie, it's INSANE. They are like riding over aircraft carriers....it's nuts. Going down to film 20's in the morning....don't think we will ride, too nasty and on top of each other.

    Surfriding blast from the past..

Actually, to be fair, you don't need much as far as power in West Coast waves. They are SO HUGE and SO FAR apart and have so much more power....it's completely different from what we ride in anywhere else. A crappy day there is the best day we would ever get. I need to get out there again with...

    Surfriding blast from the past..

Checking my surf-riding credentials....lol Straps are okay, but not footholds. Handling Mods are okay to bolt on, but only stock hulls are allowed. As for those stock hulls, old kawi and SJ hulls are surf worthy, but not SXR hulls. Motor mods are okay, but only to a point, nothing over...

    Custom/Hybrid Trinity Composites

Mine was about 4 days late. I got a phone call and pictures explaining where he was at with the hull. 3 years later, I am completely satisfied with my hull. I would rather it be perfect than on time.

Surfriding EAST COAST SURF this weekend

4'-5' on Saturday and 11-13' footers on Monday for Lake Erie (Cleveland Area), unless it goes out to sea. EDIT: 17 footers on Lake Erie on Tuesday....HOLY CRAP. Biggest I've ever seen.

    Other RCW Brawler talk

It has been a while, but I remember it being the most stable mini-hull I've ridden. I had fun on it for sure. (I am not a mini hull guy, so not going to pretend I know too much!)

Other Sunk Ski in Lake Erie...how do we find it...

The Good: No salt and No rocks, sand bottom. The Bad: Large waves and currents if it still has some air in it...

I thought he made a carbon SJ...or was it just carbon reinforced??? I remember that Red/Silver one with visual carbon. I know that other Dbag made his own hull....saw him trying to get it running at a couple freerides....never saw it actually ride at all.

    Surfriding Joe Kenney

I've got footage somewhere from that weekend of Joe just surfriding in NJ. He was riding Paul Lehr's SJ. It was cold as hell and Joe was out there in shorts and a life jacket, nothing else. He never rode with shoes, gloves, wetsuit....nothin. He also hated footholds and used straps to ride...
