I glad that you think that sending a couple projectiles down the highway is NOTHING.
Tell that to the family of a motorcycle rider and his girl who recently died when they ran over a matres that fell off the back of a pickup.
Yep, it wasn't strapped down but that's NOTHING.
I'm with you 100%.
One of the main reasons I hate pickup trucks so much is because of these dumb a$$ owners who never bother to strap down their loads.
Too good for that, right farm boy ?
I stopped working on the setup a long time ago. Works just about perfect for my needs so I don't even think about modding it any further.
It looks just like the last 2 pictures and is holding up great. Still on the original steel wheels which do show some rust but as yet, I haven't had to add...
If you like the length of your pole now why fak with it ?
Just ride unless you have too much cash.
Now, if you wanted to run a shorter pole than a RN pole might be the way to go.
You don't need a RN bracket. You can make the SN bracket work with some fender washers and a bit of clearancing.
The RN pole is much slimmer than that SN abortion and can be shortened with ease, is quite strong and relatively inexpensive.
It helps keep your fuel tank in place and the clip is for the water separator hose.
It's just glued down to the bottom of your bilge right behind the tank (between the tank and stator cover). Don't sweat it, they all come off sooner or later.
