SN VS RN: What does an extra 23hp do?

With that in mind and everything else you said in this thread (not wanting to build a motor) I would definetly get the RN. You will notice a huge jump in power over your 650. It will be whole different experience plus you will have a much better resale value. Now, if it was me. I would...

GP1200R wiring schematic or service manual?

Are you sure it's for a 99 GP1200R and not a 99 GP1200 ??? The 99 GP1200R is a rare beast indeed (only 50 built) but they do pop up from time to time. Anyway, all that info is over on Greenhulk.net .

    best footholds for a SN?

You can't go wrong with TOMs footholds. I had to cut my holds up a few times just to get similar results but TOMs weren't available at the time. The rear and bulk head need to be drilled with a hole saw (make sure you have all your parts before you select the size of the saw). Than you can...

    best footholds for a SN?

Here are a couple pictures of my scupper tube. From left to right. 24/7 scupper, PVC pipe, 2" coupling with the center opened up slightly slid over the 2" pipe and ground to match the lines of the hull (idea was to get a better seal around the rear of the ski), 2" coupling gluing the...

    best footholds for a SN?

You mean a scupper tube. You don't need to defoam to install one and if that's your only goal than save your self a lot of work. If you want to reinforce the rear of the ski, add a trim tube, remove all that heavy green glue or any other work under the tray than by all means. Cut that shait...

    best footholds for a SN?

I have cut open 4 SN hulls and all were bone dry inside. Yours might be the same. Before you decide on footholds, try out as many as you can and get the ones you like the most. Install is just about the same on all.

    This is important

I hope you're right. We lost our little inlet which had the only "jetski" beach in the area. They turned the entire pass into a no wake zone so the ferries that cart the rich a$$hats back and forth to their private barrier island (thought that was illegal) wouldn't get rocked or god forbid...

I hope one day I can ride in the secret spot. What a sad statement in light of what might happen.

How much money did you spend at Daytona

Money well spent Sir. We sure got more than $15.00 of laughter and brain storming out of that thing.

    Cherry Buster?

One at a time was the original plan but with the limited sets out there they were bunched up in 3 heats of 24 skis. Who knew that the first heat would get so lucky ?

    Cherry Buster?

It was a bust when 17 skis hit the same wave and rode out together. It was hard to pick out which one did it first but it sure looked spectacular.
