My goal is to do a 6 minute fountain and have it on video. :wiggle:
But seriously, I have done 2 laps of our lake while doing a fountain just out of sheer boredom. That's way over a minute.
It's the only way we can pull some of the colder water off the bottom and mix it with the soup that is...
My hood is nothing special, I only shaved the bottom lip (the one that presses against the seal) by 1/4" and raised the front hood hooks by another 1/4".
It is rather light for a stock SN hood and plenty strong with some added material but the storage thing is just a joke.
You see, I made a...
Good job.
Now if only we had a RN with stock hood we could get a good laugh,............. I mean all sleep easier.
So your hood is 2.5" lower than your SN and it only cost you what ?
BTW, my stock hood sits right at 16" but might be 3" lower in a few weeks.
I tried to score that sexy one in Daytona but Charlies grip was just too strong.
:pancake:
Any time you like.
Pick a day where the high tide is around noon and it's a go.
Bring a helmet and some long sleeves (red mangrove scrapes take time to heal fully) and we can go gardening all day...
But I want to know now. :shooter3:
I will tell you all for a fact that the SN is much better than a RN at least in one situation.
When we go out "trimming" mangrove trails after a storm I can knock down much bigger branches with my square than my friend on his girly RN.
He's too...
You might want to remeasure that hood height on the SN. Unless you have a 2" block of wood under there, the height should be 16".
Spent quite some time measuring both hulls when I was trying to decide weather it was worth my time and money to "upgrade" to a RN and none of the key measurements...
Sadly, this just ain't going to happen.
Don't get me wrong, I would love a lighter stronger square but the market just isn't there.
The average Joe will just follow the heard and build a round.
On a brighter note, ever see a Matrix or a Rickter ?
:smokin:
Hi, my name is Robert aka Boris.
You just wait, I'm going to make a video of my own. I'll even have the central heating on for my stunt.
:cheer:
I think you got that bass ackwards.
It's everyone trying to make their RN's handle like the SN's. Buying lower pole brackets just so the pivot point can be as low as the SN and expensive lowered hoods that are as high as stock SN hoods.
SN waterbox is heavy but a RN one fits in just right...
