you may have one of the dip switches set for checking the static timing. not sure which one it is though. it should say on the back.

what kind of couches are we talking about? i wouldnt do it with a raider, but i would with a 4-tec. id say that if you can put it under the front cowling, and its a seperate "bucket", youll be okay.... but putting a can under a seat next to the engine.... not so much.....

those 2 holes could be for external fuel pump mounting..... if youre in to that sort of thing.

you can use the OEM 'bra' as a template to cut a semi-circle and let the diamonds/groves run straight. i prefer to heat and bend the turf around the front of the nose so the grooves/diamonds are making the same curve as the nose. just cut a straight piece and include the "boop" for the bow...

good thread... im a bit clueless on these crazy ever-changing kawis too. of the cases, cyls, pistons, cranks, heads, etc..... which parts are interchangable? are all kawi 750 flywheels, stators and electrics interchangable?

will the chamber fit, if tilted upwards, without the brackets holding it in place? if so, and it clears the hood, a new bracket could be easily made and it could be mounted w/o denting.

we got the engine from SBT today. not only that, but it was delivered in less than 24 hours after speaking with steph. holy #$%^^&&*!!!!!!! they also donated a gasket kit for assembling the rest of the engine. i dont think ill ever be able to bash couchers over there ever again..... THANKS...

my suggestion is to put holds in now, use the old rubber for padding, then buy a roll or 2 of turf and hand cut for your ski. use the old rubber as templates.
