Have you disconnected the temp sender, they are known to go bad and when they do they beep constantly, disconnect the temp sender wire from the temp sender on the head and see if your beeping goes away.
By the time you have the cylinders bored to accept the sleeves, buy the sleeves and pay to have them installed you could have bought a set of used 1300 cylinders, you would still be stuck with cast iron sleeves that do not transfer heat as well as the nikasil cylinders JMHO.
No on an older 550 you had to have the special tool that went into the impeller to remove it, on a 440 you sometimes with an aluminum prop, a propane torch and a lot of luck could remove the impeller with a wrench and a screwdriver,90 and up models use the same tool as the X2.
A few guys at the Alex City Invasion rode the 300SX conversion ski Saturday, while its only running a 650 engine I believe everyone was in agreement that it was a seriously fun little ski, I don't know why more people are not going this route, oh well more 300SX parts for the rest of us I suppose.

The ride went pretty smooth , well other than the Alexander City Police Dept and the water patrol showing up. Damn jet skiers ! I can only assume they had prior notice of the forthcoming invasion and were mounting forces lol.
