The most expensive 550 you'll ever own is the one you get for free. If that hull is close and for free than by all means, pick it up. Don't stick nothing into it instead, keep it as a spare or future project. You can get complete and running 550's for next to nothing so look for one of those.

One good thing about it, your pump will be well lubed. At least on one side. Dual exhaust doesn't have to be loud. A stock RN box and an extra pisser right at the front exit makes for a quiet ride.

That Grabber Green isn't a perfect match for stock but it sure does look better. Day-Glo 80's are in force. BTW, picked up the only 2 cans Napa had and the third I scored from AutoZone. It's a RUST-OLEUM engine enamel and is a perfect match for the DUPLICOLOR stuff.

Why not have an SJ as a back up ski ? You could set them up to be a bit different and spare parts are always good to have.

Mine have been posted here a few times but here's one. Fuel, oil and spare, spray lubes go into the box (I can carry 15 Gal) as well as all the wet riding gear at the end of the day.
