If your plan is to give it a nice paint job than why not pick up a lowered hood and nose piece ? No sense in painting up that stock hood. I would do a light reinforcing job (or go all out) to avoid premature stress cracks that would ruin the paint. Don't ruin the sides of the ski by drilling...
