That may well be correct on the new digital TL MSD system, that would make sense, on the older analog systems it wouldn't make any sense and on the old brainless TL systems it just flat out doesn't work properly with resistor plugs.

What do resistors do Matt, what is their function , that in itself should answer your question. Even though you are being a smarta$$ here you are correct, the brainless systems will not jump a .050 gap with resistor spark plugs installed, an MSD will but it has way more spark energy.
