At first I just looked at this post to look at pictures. But then I said, "wait, I know that lake" then realized it was it was ya'll.
So I know that beagle is not happy on that ski. Any basset or beagle I've seen hate the water.
So I rode the ski today. Thanks to some tips I found from Matt E here, I got the thing to run very well. It pulled so strong. It hit just as hard if not harder than my previous dual setup. I still have some very fine tuning to do, but I love this setup. It is loading up a little if I am just...
I'll let you all know how it goes. I was hoping to be able to hit the water today after work, but it is raining and is pretty damn windy here today. So I'm shooting for tomorrow, or sunday.
With the profit from a parts ski I just got rid of I splurged just a little. :fest06: I've been wanting to try a single setup for a while now. I ride in the surf 98% of the time and have been seeking the simplicity of a single carb. Now I only have to rebuild one carb when I swamp my ski...
I've noticed that when these threads come up it is the same group of us posting our racks. So here I go... again.
All steal, heavy as hell, but I only paid $100 for it.
wrap your feet in pading and use some tie wraps duct tape to hold it all together. Or just smoke more before you go out and you won't feel it.:439:
I don't think you royally screwed yourself, but those skis are fairly old and you'll probably be working on them some. Sounds like both engines are in excellent compression ranges. As long as they are fun and get you on the water, that is all that matters. But don't hop on a superjet, b/c you'll...
You are right about the shapes. The mod chamber is smaller than the limited, but you are wrong about the bottom end. The limited chamber is notorious for having more bottom end.
How do you do the setups where the original hood latch is replaced for a ratchet? I like the way that looks, I've seen it on some ski's but have never looked up close.
That makes sense. I though that it dramatically advanced the spark. Guess not. I think that is where I was initially mistaken. Thanks guys. You rock!
I love the X. Full of knowledge from the best of the best and best of the worst (being me  ).
