yeah, it's nice to see how much fuel is in the tank. I have a few pieces of rubber strategically glued to the tank in a few places, where the B pipe chamber gets very close for example, but that is it. No need to turf an entire tank. :boggled:

1. check out Brian's rail caps from blowsion... came out nice. http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/1524 2. my buddy pulled his rail caps off and turfed instead... came out nice too.. if done right it's clean and functional. He used 25mm HT under padding on the top of the rails before turfing...

you should be good in fresh water... 16 years... pretty good. did you try just opening the switch and cleaning off the connections? I don't think I would worry about trying to put a grease barrier around the box/bars... i think that would just get messy.

New York requires a coast guard approved boater's safety course, and you must carry that card with you along with your registration. When I moved to Alabama, they required it also, but they put a class on your license like they do with a motorcyle. They used my NYS course so I didn't need to...

yup...in 1992 i rode my friends X2. The next summer I bought a '93 ProVXR, in '94we added a Polaris SL650. In 1995 we traded both in for a '95 Waveraider 1100 and a '95 Polaris SL700. In '98 traded the raider in for a GP1200 and sold the polaris. In 2001 living in Mobile I bought a used '93...
