I would consider a single if I lived by the ocean (less chance for water injestion, and big waves to get good air off of). On flat water IMO you want all the power you can get, and IMO you'll get more power with duals.

Is that the deep one? I've heard a few people say they don't like that one. I was thinking make it like the Jet Dynamics shoe, but billet would be even stronger (specifically thinking about the threads).

I'm not sure which couplers you have, but all years of Superjet use the same couplers (and I've used billet couplers on several of them w/o problems). I think a solid billet housing would be a very bad idea, your breaings wouldn't last very long at all. The rubber in the OEM housing not...

If you look at that dyno chart on Factorypipe.com, the B pipe makes more power up to 6500 RPM. So that combined with the weigh savings, simplicity, easy of installation, etc. etc. make the B pipe a better choise IMO. I don't know if they were running ECWI on that dyno chart, but I think ECWI...

CG, I would go for the B pipe as well. Even if it gives up some high RPM power, it's simple, light, and extremely reliable. I think you could gain a lot of power by running it with an EWCI thqat turns on starting at very low RPM (1500). I think most of what holds the B pipe back on top...

Like Paul said, seal it (including the grommets). I've been using that Permatex Hylomar as recommended by Freestylegeek. It's really sticky.

Yamaboy2000 listed a used 20 pound Waterdawg Kustomz hood for sale on pwctoday.com for $500. It's heavy, but it'll probably never break (if breakage is your concern).
