i recommend pro-x pistons and follow their clearance recommendations.
i dont recommend boring more than you need to. it only means youll have less potential future bore jobs. just bore to the next available size up.
even high temp is unnecessary, IMO. the engine doesnt get hot enough to warrant it like a 4 stroke does. it doesnt hurt though. regular shytti paint with clear works fine for years.
it seems pretty easy to modify a 750 cage to fit on a 62t manifold. i believe its just a matter of grinding off the 8 extra tabs and enlarging the 4 that are remaining.
thats why you use epoxy resin for repairs and reinforcement only.
new parts get laid up in vinyl ester. its wet laid so nothing is curing to an already-cured surface. it all cures together in harmony.
wrote a song about it. like to hear it here goes.......
gelcoat is polyester based. gelcoat is the first thing that hits the mold.
epoxy + kickin' gelcoat = no-no.
also, it says that polyester will not stick to itself when making repairs. it doesnt say that about vinyl ester.
vinyl ester costs more than polyester, btw.
ive been researching this, 'tensile strenght', that youre claiming that your boats have and couldnt even find anything using the search function.:jester:
