ive often thought of installing 2 vertical bars on my helmet to prevent this type of thing. it could hinder vision, though... or get knocked loose and cause even more damage :dunno:

good points. one thing to think of is if you decide to go with an angled shortened hull, youre going to want to put the scupper in the pump cavity and not on the transom.
thats cool. i thought you were going with the xmetal scupper because you thought they were good. they stretch, rip, bend, leak and completely blow out. ive had to replace the rubber on mine 4 times in less than 2 years. i dont care who makes them. i wouldnt install another one on my boat...
yes, every o ring should be greased. especially the red one. the grease helps it stay in place when installing and the red one is the one that always wants to fall out or get pinched during install. they dont give you much grease with the kit. just use any grease and do a LIGHT coat. just put...

if im pulling a f/w w/o removing the engine, i remove the tank, use a HB puller along with OEM yamaha case bolts. i also use an air impact wrench to drive the center of the puller.
pullers usually come with a couple different 'ends' for the center bolt. take a little time to find the applicable...
