if you only have 1 line going to the engine and 2 lines leaving the engine, youll want to make sure your 2 exit lines, from the head, are either restricted or tee'd together and going to a single pisser.

fwiw, i had the 'multi-piece' kits on my SJ and they kept snapping, so im using ada studs with my (thick) riva head. i had to install them upside-down to get enough threads to catch the nuts sufficiently. has been working great for almost 2 yrs.

i usually just tap the 2 holes that go to the bottom of the cases and 1211 2 bolts into the new threads. this isnt recommended if the crank cases arent apart though.

it seems that youd benefit the same way as total loss as far as weight goes, but you wont get the multi spark discharge of msd. :dunno:

i had a pitted head before, but there were WAY fewer pits, yet a little larger in size. since it was a non-removable dome head, i smoothed the high spots out and 'broke' away the few questionable bits. i say i 'had' this head... im actually still running it. ive been running this head non-stop...

ive never seen one at a hw store. even the big industiral one that we use doesnt carry anything like it, to my knowledge. its gotta be fuel-safe too.
