I'm liking Jerry's (Jetskier79) idea. Have the ratchet on the middle of the hood with some padding under it.

No not too lazy... I'll have to drill holes for this system also, but I just want to condense the two systems into one. I hate how hood straps hang there and get in the way ever time the hood is taken on and off.

anything but block black letters are illegal in California. All the fancy colored decals are not legal on boats, but I have never heard of any body getting ticketed for it. I'm not sure on the placement situation.

I ride a skate board regular foot, snow board regular foot, and when I started riding jet ski's I started regular foot, but I now find myself riding goofy on my ski more and more. I feel 100% comfortable regular foot, and like 90% comfortable goofy foot on my ski.

Just drill two. Make it spit out the opposite side, that way when you look at your ski from the side you still only see one.

I think that looks pretty cool. I'd buy one if you sold them... My steering is great right now... but I know I'll have a ski in the future that has some wobbly steering.
