beware of courtney moffet/thomas in canada

If he reads that, he'll send you a rigged 440 engine, but he'll wait about a month to get it out, then two weeks after it shows up you'll get a nice bill from DHL to pay for the shipping again. Oh, after the first 3 weeks of waiting he'll call you and say he'll send your money back. He was...

Who uses a Flow Control valve...

I tried one on a B pipe and it blew, so I trashed it (actually sold it). I don't think "in theory" they work like people think they do. First off, your waterbox never dries out, even if you run the valve. Second, if your motor's running, the waterbox never fills up with water. 3rd, reducing...

    Wax cylinder

Do you mean 8 port like a Lamey? I've never heard of anything like that, but someone said that Watcon plans to cast a WestCoast cylinder for the Kawi 750/800 with triple exhaust ports, soon. Robertg, those cases came with the Able cylinder I ran last year, but I ran it with 62T cases for...

    Wax cylinder

Well you can do that... but which cases are you planning to bolt them on to? Definitely not 62T cases. You can't add much transfer volume between the two cylinders because there is only a thin wall separating them. And like Romack said, you still need cooling ports in your cylinder. Here's...

You can't just add transfer area, it has no where to go.

    Whos Running GP800 motors?

Which 1200? There's at least 1 guy who put the non-pv 1200 into a Superjet (Carmine on pwctoday.com). I think it has more wow factor, but it's less practical... heavier, bigger, not much more powerful. It looks like it'd be a huge PITA to work on. The 800 doesn't look much (if any) more...

    Whos Running GP800 motors?

I don't think it's too bad, it's the same width and only about 3 inches longer than the 62T engine. You'd need to glass in the front engine mounts, and run a 550 gas tank. The engine slants to the left, so the carbs are super easy to work on (they are spaced wider than the 62t carbs as well)...

    Reinforcing the nose... + pics

If you've reinforced the sides well, the next weak point is probably the pole/pole bracket.

    Whos Running GP800 motors?

I plan to run a GP800 motor this year (cross my fingers) I'd depending on Waterdawg for the pipe. I can make my own intake manifold, so I'm not worried about the carbs. As far as weight goes, the bare 800 longblock with no front cover weighs 70 pounds (I just shipped one to Germany). The...
