It's definitely better but the tool is like $30 and hard to find. I would have bought one a long time ago, but denniskirk didn't have any in stock (that's when I found a flat bar for free and it has worked well for me).
The way I see it, you get two chances with each stock coupler, and you...
I bought a tool from Randy @ Watcon, it was an old shaft that he cut to about 6" long on the spline end, and he welded a T onto the non-splined end... You can hold the T in a vice and turn the coupler with a long flat bar.
That's what I do anyway.
I like my Slippery gloves better, unfortunatley I lost one of them... I think my mx gloves are Fox brand, they let more water in than the Slippery's do.
I would try a rubber mallet or a standard hammer on a piece of wood (so you make a nice flat surface). Yes, just where it rubs.
Might want to wear earplugs when you're banging on it.
The V-Force II are about $260 and the Rad valves are around $310.
IMO most people would have a hard time telling the difference between them, but I'd guess the V-Force work slightly better at low RPM's (soft reed setting) and the Rad's flow slightly more.
Sudcoo are OEM equivalent, so are ART pistons. One of the nice things about cast is since they use a smaller bore, if you mess your engine up you might be able to get away with a hone and same size Weisco pistons. Just my opinion.
A good running one? Like the powervalves work and everything? Hard to say, most of the used one I've seen were blown up. If it looks reasonable it's probably a good deal. Anything under $1,500 for a good running longblock is a good deal IMHO.
