You'd be surprised what a good ignition can do for a motor... you won't get it's potential out of the stock ignition, especially on a stroker.

I don't think it would work very well w/o electric start.

Just a good port job on the stock engine will be your best bang for the $$$ IMO (that and you need a B pipe).

They're about the same pitch, the blaster's is stainless steel and the superjet's is aluminum. I'm not sure why Yamaha did that, but the blaster impeller is actually decent.

WD'll make anything a customer wants, but you'll have to wait and wait and wait for it. I actually already paid him for a bracket and pole for my F1-Pro, but I like that QJS setup better... it puts the pole lower (plus it looks really custom and clean).

I've heard good things about the Tubbies, but never tried them on an FX-1.

The stock FX-1 doesn't handle for crap, so what you are experiencing now sounds completely normal to me :biggrin: It's just too light I think.

That's what I ran an on 5mm stroker last year. It had 180psi.

I would try an MSD enhancer and the stock timining.

I don't know, but if it does it'll probaby affect the temper of the cases (not good for strength). Try chipping it out. And FIX IT RIGHT the first time :wink:

Nice work! Are there footholds in it? Ever been refoamed? There's probably some water in it, but that's right about what I was expecting. Can you weigh the hood too? :smile:
