I stripped the bejesus out of my Kasasaki puller a few weeks ago. I went to Autozone and got the 14mm/18mm chaser and got the flywheel off.
Then I purchased another OEM flywheel remover.

I would advise the thread chaser for emergencies only.
Mark, you would most likely know better than me but I have always disagreed with this philosophy.
You can't backflip a stocker so you'll never be able to do it without the appropriate hardware. You would have to step all the way up to big power / light hull to even be able to attempt it...
It must be cool to be able to go to Walmart and get such things as bilges, 5200, lanyards, stainless steel anything metric, etc.
In Memphis, um . . . none of that.
