you probably had a bent rod from a previous hydrolock and it decided that it wanted to kill itself right before st pattys day.
i hate it when that happens. im sure itll buff right out, though.
is drilling an extra hole in the top of the cover plate a recommended thing to do, even if the lower one isnt obstructed, just for better movement of the diaphragm?
theres no magic setting. it depends on your jetting among other factors.
ideally, you want to be about 1 turn out. meaning, if everything is jetted properly and running smooth, you want about a turn out on both adjustors....this is a very general statement though.
i typically set mine to :
bottom - closed
middle - closed
top - 1 turn out
also, i crank my limiter all the way up and let the throttle be the limiter.
thanks marz! finally getting around to putting this boat together (been working on the dual carbed jetmate and its done!).
anyway, any other suggestions... just want to get some more ideas here... im i wrong in thinking bigger jets because of the added weight of the jetmate?
