make sure theres no blockage. loosen the cap, take the feed off the carb and blow into it. you should hear bubbling in your tank with reasonable resistance. also, make sure your fuel lines are ALL connected to the right places and your checkvalve is in right..... if that coiled up vent tube...

you could contact SBT and have them send one to you. the boxes are foam filled to accomodate your specific type of shortblock as a nice tight fit. not sure how much they charge though.

no glue. its just a single edge blade and grease.

make sure the pump is 100% sealed in the pump cavity with silicone. the slightest breach in the seal will result in major cavitation out of the hole.
