I see you are using paint stripper, be careful with that stuff , it will put your eye out. I will give you a word of advice here,you probably won't take it but here it goes anyway. Stop taking everything so personally or these guys are going to ride you like a two dollah ho on a Saturday night.
I use the overlapping flap wheel also and even they will come apart but not nearly as bad, most here mean no harm, they just don't want to see a new post in the carnage section.

Ok you want brutally honest, I had a 750SX, heavy as hell and slow, I sold it for $1000.00 and was glad to see it go, I have ridden several 750sx's modded with pipes and flame arrestors and its a totally different story, same with the SXI rode one and totally loved the handling and power

Actually it sounds like a huge fawking air leak, whats happening is that you can't dump in enough fuel to keep the air fuel ratio correct, therefore it won't just light off pulling fuel from the carbs. I am not sure what you have going on there but its time to do a pressure test on the engine...
I will back it up , all Kawasaki gas caps are the same, even the new four stroke caps have the same threads. The oil cap threads are also the same as the gas cap threads. The 650 SX cap looks different as does the new four stroke cap, they will all physically interchange.
I can't say this for sure but I know for a fact from trying to swap cables on a 701 Waveventure that the 1100-1200 cables are bigger, I ended up having to swap the plastic cable holder and the rubber piece as well, the cable would not physically fit through the waveventure 701 parts, I have a GP...
