well my other polaris is about as reliable a boat as I've ever seen (if you can believe that). I was just thinking, since I have a bare hull I'm playing with, and a free power train, maybe try to mate them up and see what I get. It was just a thought. I may go get it still and see what it looks...

yeah, but the ps1 was the same way. then over night the price dropped to $129 ( current price on a PS2) and poof, they were gone for good.

All my bikes were D/S conversions from out of state, so I never dealt with the stickers you're refering to. A plate trumps the sticker any day of the week. I can go (or could go) pretty much anywhere I please and USF never gave me a second glance. I guess alot has changed.

I dig my smokers. they are ideally suited to my riding style. the Thumpers are cool too. Had one and miss it some times. thhere are places were one is just better than the other. IMO. The only place a 500 smoker is worth anything is in the desert. but those monsters will vibrate the fillings...
