SJ build - removing bulkhead entirely?

I believe the us coast guard site has the flotation formulas online. The calculations are tedious but not difficult. Mark44

Not much room under the exhaust flange. Mark44

SJ build - removing bulkhead entirely?

You can also calculate the ski's weight and the buoyancy of the foam to determine the amount of foam needed to keep the ski a float while it is submerged. I would not guess at this equation for peace of mind. Mark44

SJ build - removing bulkhead entirely?

Don't think I would cut that much out all you need is roughly 1" up and 2"-3" wide. See black in photo Mark44

Custom/Hybrid So After Reading Trinity Questions

Hull builders if you are reading how about drain plugs and a channel system in the foam to allow drainage in the future? Just an idea. Mark44

    drain plugs for sj

1/4" NPT pipe plugs with 101 nylon epoxied inside the hull to accept the threads is what I used. Remember you need a way for the water to drain to the bottom and back to the drains. Mark44

Custom/Hybrid So After Reading Trinity Questions

If I was a vendor I would probably say the same thing. LOL I don't think I would call it greed though. I look at it as paying for a service they once receive for free. Its always an issue when you have to pay for something you use to get for free thats human nature. I just don't like to see...

Custom/Hybrid So After Reading Trinity Questions

o I don't think the site would slowly go down they don't pay anything now and the admins keep it running for them for free. IMO Yep all advertising is passed onto the consumer we do the same thing here at my engineering office so does Wal-Mart and McDonalds.

Custom/Hybrid So After Reading Trinity Questions

All vendors must post in a special section when selling goods and to gain access to this section required a monthly fee. I believe this fee should be a lot more that $25 a month, more like $75 to $100. Do you know how much PWC charges for banners? Remember this is free advertising in a...

I would also have to say that any business that posts here selling their goods needs to pony up and support the site and its dues to keep this site active and reward the persons that maintain this site for them. Heck is free advertisement in a very small market. Mark44

I have purchased a used waterdog hood and yes you get waht you pay for. I have not used to hood yet just mainly purchased it for mold making and playing around with infusion, for the money is seems to be a decent hood but then again I would never spend a grand for a jet ski hood this is just a...
