With 1K to spend on a ski that needs work I would look for a SN Superjet. For $1500 you should be able to find a nice one ready to ride with some tasty mods done already.

What is your budget ? Be realistic and than you can decide on the best ski for your money.

I thought this was supposed to be "temporary".

If it's temporary than I don't see why not. Over time water will mess up Velcro but by than you should have your height and placement worked out.

That would be DZUS fasteners. How about just strips of Velcro ?

That has served me well. In the past the good stuff was sold here and the rest went on ebay. Than we had an influx of those who were only into skis to part them out and make a quick buck. They would sell parts without knowing what they had or how to check them not only killing the parts market...

It's sad that we have to be so careful on this site. It's not like this is a huge community with millions of enthusiasts in each country.

Stock bars aren't straight but it's 5 1/2" from pivot to about center of the grips. 4 1/2" from pivot to end of turn plate.

The lotion works when it's hot and humid like all year here in SWFlorida. The hot/cold shower afterwards does wonders to open and close your pores and let all the glass fall away.

Minty SN hulls should be $50 to $100. Still quite a few around and as long as everyone keeps fighting over the RN's, square prices will remain low.

But mixed with sweat it tends to clump up. Try a good heavy moisturizing lotion and alternate hot and cold water when you shower.

1208 biax is also a good choice. Easy to work with and plenty strong.

Much better than the twin tube. Those style poles always looked stupid and unfinished to me.
