I dont know about the SJ... but I have enough room for 4 of them between the engine bed and the stock bilge on my 750 SXI They are about 2mm too tall to sit directly under the midshaft. you could mod them to fit if you were so inclined though.

I bought one. we'll see how it works. My first impresions: -It's taller, but narrower than the old v500 -The "grate" has a nice flat spot the size of a quarter right under the impeller for glueing it to the hull. Also, since the "grate" has an inner and outer portion, you can trim out part...

yep.. thats a PJS pipe for a 440/550 alright... I still think more cowbell is in order though.
