i do know of a guy that bought one from a PA dealer and brought it in... but his relative owns the dealership so i wasn't sure if they "made it look used" on paper.
The NYDMV is focked anyway... i would just do it...
this is what I was told: I believe you cannot buy one out of state as a "new" ski and bring it in to register it as a new ski in NY. I'm pretty sure you have to buy it "used".
So, if you find a new one out of state you'd have to have someone who lives out of state buy it new, then sell it to...
i bought the xmetal from legdrag.com - only because i am too lazy to find what i need on my own... LOL the kit is super slick... easy to install.
i know a few guys that have made their own... i believe the parts are available through most hardware stores, except the SS through hull part...
i was running Prok filters with Fly Racing prefilters and having the problem. I went back to OEM air boxes and just cut them to fit around the girdled head. much better!
my friends waterbox fills up with water but he cut his stock waterbox apart and put the front exhaust outlet from the waterbox on the same side as where the pipe enters the water box... unfortunately it's at about water level so the water just flows right in. The x-metal set up uses a longer...
PM highroller... he uses them, or did use them, and he's not all that tall...
or, you can modify a set regular footholds... I modded my 24:7 footholds. they're not back as far as the XFT's nor are they as obtrusive in the tray...
