Running this up the flagpole today...should be a go for the trip. I just got my Generation 2 X2 complete and test rode it yesterday. By far the most fun ski I've ever been on, can't wait to see how it handles the surf. Jeff

Hey Shawn - You could consider making a SJ bottom copy tooled to fit the classic X2 top deck. I know that's MUCH easier said than done, but might be the best of all worlds, small and nimble.

Better is only opinion...I've ridden tons of badass SJs and I own an SXR. Not because it's "better" but because I prefer it.

Wow...just found this thread, thanks for the link info twin turbo. What an amazing build! I hope to run into you guys at one of the TX rides this year. That ski is so cool, I have to have one!
