Can I toss in my shequels into this fight ? Substitute the HX with a 96 XP or 97-99 SPX. Tons of fun, a great motor and a simpler driveline than the HX. Blasters are fun but I have a soft spot for the X4 hulls.

My dual 46's use less fuel than a single 44. Properly setup motor is the answer not how big the bolt on.

Big bore sleeves have a larger outside diameter so the top case half needs to be fly cut to allow for the extra size.

I use the $5.00 WallyWorld special with a home made filler and a vent poked into it. Never found the need for a fancy fuel jug.

No big deal, $10-15 should get you a new one or just ride as is. I have 5 holes in my hull from stumps and trees. Nothing major but they do drip water out of the bilge when the ski is on the trailer. Part of the fun of running the mangroves.

20V turbo Transporter would get the ski to the water in quite a hurry but a TDI is easier and a lot more fuel friendly. Love the sound of the old boxers but them inline motors are so much easier to live with.

Their inline 5's were so much better especially the turbo. What's that motor going into ?

C'mon guys. Don't discourage anybody from buying a new vehicle. Let them take the hit and resupply the used market for the rest of us. Too bad the used vehicle market is so heavily controlled by the US car manufacturers. I hate overpaying for transportation devices.

Mount a winch on it. Not to winch the skis onto the forks (although that helps) but as a safety line so one doesn't fall off. I love working on my ski while it sits on the forklift.

Pull the coupler off or drill out the center. You'll be able to get a punch onto the drive shaft and hopefully drive it out.
