this thing doesnt look like it was EVER glued in. I think it was just wedged into place.

I have a '96 750 sxi and the pump intake gide apears to be flopping around loose in the pump cavity. it doesnt appear broken. is this thing supposed to do this? If not, what is the approved method of fixing this thing?
