i have found that the TDR reeds are VERY resilient, but only if you order the ones that they make for use in rental units. theyre a bit thicker and dont have the 'cut-ins' on each reed petal that make for a norrower "hinge".

im pretty sure that 8' is the maximum width allowed before having to put a wide load sign on the back. i could be wrong. dont remember where i heard that.

the rubber biscuit "forces" alignment. if the pto coupler is higher or lower than the midshaft coupler, the rubber piece with force the midshaft up or down to meet with the engine. the couplers should be even without the rubber piece. this is the only real way to know if youre aligned...

i always thought the general consensus for this application was bottom closed, middle closed and top open 1 turn.
