No silicone... Just use some marine quality grease on the pump seal and your good to go. There should be no gaps even without silicone. If you have gaps, you have problems. The grease is just used on the pump seal to keep it from deteriorating and becoming brittle.

Griddled heads take pressure off the cylinder since the b pipe only mounts to the cylinder and not the head like a stock pipe. It helps to prevent the cylinder from cracking.

You could paint it very easily. Just rough it up, coat of primer, then a couple coats of black. All rattle cans, probably under $15.

You could use stock steering, stock bracket, and stock pole bolt. You cannot re-use a stock RN spring though. But you can use a modified square nose spring. Stock chin pad will not fit without modification, as Matt_E said. Even if you could, it would look ugly.
