701, spend the extra cash reinforcing the transom. Inspect the transom area meticulously, and around the bond line. Spend lots of time examining that area so you know what you are getting into. The transom is the weak spot of the blaster.

Google had Port Bolivar to Tuscaloosa at 11 hours. I used several different mapping sites (google, yahoo, mapquest, msn) and they had me in Tuscaloosa near 11.5 hours. Point is they have College Station to Lanier at 14 to 15 hours.

He went to the TX ride. 36 hour drive there and back. I would give him a try Friday, if not monday of next week. Thats a long friggin drive (Victorville, CA to Houston, TX).
