the pants look cool, and help stop some wind, but are not warm. get yourself a full suit, maybe from the wetsuit whse, or from like Dennis Kirk close out. find a deal on one, then you can buy the pants - when it cold i wear pants over my wetsuit.
Motorcycle GS Battery GTX4L-BS
Voltage: 12 V
AH: 3 AH
Type: Sealed MF
CCA: 50
Weight: 3
Length: 4.5
Width: 2.8
Height: 3.4
about the same as the ES4L-BS - 5 more CCA's - as the weather gets colder you'll need to go back to your regular battery. You can test it with a...
you'd have to look at the mfg specs to see what the CCA's are. On my 16 lbs Dekka drycell the CCA's are like 300 amps, on my 4 LBS ES the CCA's are only 45.
Newmans feels heavy to me... mine feels much lighter. I did not get to check our Eric's ski, but i want to next time out.
CF is cool... CK i would be careful of.
i used progresively wider layers of 8.9 oz biaxiale cloth. filled bond line with epoxy resin/hardener mixed with micro balloons. then covered the bond line with a 3" wide strip of cloth. then covered that with a 6" wide strip of cloth, then covered the entire side, from hood seal lip to bottom...
i ditched my dry cell 16lbs battery for a 4 lbs battery. was great. however, now that the temps are dropping the 4lbs battery does not have enough CCA's to turn the ski over, even with a full charge. It's great all summer though.
i never carry a fire extinguisher.
X2
I waited and now i have cracks everywhere. I reinforced last winter after i already developed the cracks. I wish i did the reinforcement job a few years ago.
when i was living down south i was anal about using salt terminator and spending a ton of time thoroughly washing everything after each ride. after about 3 years of salt water riding i had no corrosion at all.
now living back north, fresh water riding only, it's kinda nice.. but no good surf.
i thought about doing it, to decrease the surface area when landing... but then you'd really have to reinforce the hell out of that area. Maybe doing it at the rear of the ski, to keep drag down if you are back flipping... but, i don't think i would do the entire bond line.
i'm not sure actually. I haven't talked to him about it... he cut it off his XFT hull... but he just got a new hull, and now E_roc_wilbs has this ski

I will never understand how people who can't even get on the ski in a foot of water on their own think that they will possible be able to reboard in deep water when they fall off. :smashfreakB:
