talk to Brian (Proformance1) about the RRP. I didn't like it at first, but it's grown on me. He's adjusted the length several times and absolutely loves it. It's more $$ but he swears it's worth it.

aight, i picked up a '96 RN for a winter project. I pulled out the footholds to defoam (lot of water in there) and i discovered that three out of the four insterts to mount the pump are ripped out and the holes go through to the deck. you can see the holes in the tray area in the pic...

and remember, you don't wanna use too much epoxy - just enough to wet out the cloth... any extra needs to be sqeegied away. too much epoxy left on will make it weaker. use the roller or squeegie to get all excess epoxy and air bubbles out. also, from what i have experienced, the slower the...

what do you think about taking the measurements from each hole, and laying up several layers outside of the ski... then cut them to size to fit in the hole. then glass the home made piece in place? (after adding the needed foam to fill in the gap of course).

that's strange why he would have cut both the inside and outside of the gunwale like that. I usually just cut inside (tray area) of the gunwale to refoam.

yeah, all Brian's bond rail plastic caps have all ripped off... we turfed his bond rails several weeks back.

He has only reinforced under the handle pole bracket... but even that was not necessary.

I'm running a full 62t motor in one ski now... it's got tons of power, trouble is, the cylinder is race ported, and coupled with the dry pipe doesn't seem to have the low end hit I get out of my T cased/X cylinder ported motor. It's got sick mid range acceleration and top end though.

yeah, going to build another RN over the winter... think my old RN will be my flat water ski and the new one i want to make a surf ski... myabe... still tossing ideas around.
