He cut his plate shorter,then drilled and tapped 4 new holes. It looks like the rear holes were not tapped, since they have acorn nuts on them, unless those are to keep from cutting his knees if he ever slams his bar on his leg. If he wants straight bars all he has to do is drill two more holes...

i wouldnt seal stress cracks. you have to grind them out clean and fill them for it to look proper and flat, as if there were no cracks.

i used evercoat. works great. I then sanded the bottom with like... 80 and then 220 for the final. i painted the bottom last weekend and it looks SWEET!

I looked on UMIs site and they look the same. My umi package doesnt say the difference. I do have the pre 96 i guess. I matched part numbers with the site I guess I have to drill some holes!
