I think Mark44 installed brass fittings into the lowest part of the chines in the transom of his ski. He can unscrew them to drain water out. However, the foam that is used in a superjet will hold water. If only a little water is leaked in, toward the bottom, then yeah i guess it could...

wow, i'm surprised the toyota trucks get that bad of fuel economy. I get 13-15 mpg out of my '01 dodge ram 4X4 Off-road with 33x12.5x17 tires on it. And it's got a 5.8L V8 (360ci) motor with 410 possi traction rear end.

i weighed it after i got all the foam out... no footholds, no exhaust tube, just the hull. Heavily reinforced, it came in a 98lbs. I bet there is about 5-8 lbs of biaxial and resin in the motor compartment though.
