i used the West Systems 410 Microlight. the stuff is really light so you don't realize that 5 oz is a faily large amount. once you mix up your epoxy/hardener you can add the 410 to it... keep mixing more in until you get it to you desired consistancy. you can mix it all the way up to a nice...

yeah, $4k bikes are crazy. I have a bike with front shocks etc - paid $800 for it like 10 years ago... beat the snot out of it and it's still a great bike. I take it trail riding (no mountains near by unless i drive about an hour away). point is, you can find a decent bike for a good price...
