I'm not sure. It probably alright, but I don't know crap about engines. My only experience with a leaking gasket was when Geoff had a 750sx. The crank seized on it, but it had also been swamped an uncountable amount of times. email/call Carl. He'll tell you if someone else doesn't ring in here.

Chris' Surf Battle Boat... Never done!

I threw some turf on the water box, b/c the straps seemed a little old and stretched out. The turf took up the slack very well. I think there was a thread a while back about the blowsion Factory mod chamber to water box coupler being a little bit the wrong shape. Mine is on there, but doesn't...

i'd be cool if someone did a side by side comparison of the Jeff's foam compared to X brand. Make two identical shapes of comparable foam, and see which one holds more water (if any).

you really gotta mix that stuff up good and the weather plays a big factor. I've had different batches go off very differently.

Swirl question.... New style vs. old

I think its the new one, but not positive. I think the old ones have the built in end so you don't have to use a removal tool. Again, not 100% though.

On this page there is a reed spacer. That is what you need to move the carb away from the head to fit the OEM arrester. http://www.jet-world.com/partsacc_reeds.asp press control F and search for the word "spacer".

I haven't read through the whole thread, but I was wondering how accurate are truck scales? I don't have a scale accessible to weigh the ski by itself, but was thinking about putting in the back of the truck, then weighing the truck with and without the ski.

Parts collection and where to get???

I don't think you can purchase the UMI cross bar by itself, but I'm not 100% on this. I think I may have one lying around... I'll take a look and let you know.

I'm gonna wrap the ratchet in turf like Stan has. That has always been in the back of my mind. I might revert back to a hood latch and wammer hood straps, but just out of money now.

I agree with stan that you need to re tighten it once the strap gets wet. On side ways impacts my hood stays on good with an OEM hood seal. I think some of it has to do with having the strip of turf running the entire length of my hood. I had a machine shop drill and tap two holes to attach a...
