    ericfox 2007 superjet build thread

with WDK bracket I don't think you could notch the hull enough and still make it look nice... better to just install the pole on the bracket, then install both together onto the hull.

    Shipping Engines Overseas?

good idea... ive also used 1 inch thick hard styrofoam sheets to line the box. That seems to work very well.

still won't come out. must be lower the XMW... I like the WDK bracket, but they are not anodized, and corrode very fast. I got mine last summer and it already looks like poop.

760 and 701 use the same reed assembly?

I've gotten fiber reeds in a 62T case/61x cylinder engine before. Pretty sure then engine had never been dismantled before that point. But I cannot be 100% sure.

    !!myRNsj!! almost.....

i've seen complete top end rebuild kits for like $200-$250. You say that the cylinder only needs a hone, then why are you going up one size on the pistons?

    !!myRNsj!! almost.....

So what exactly are you going to do with the engine? Use the same pistons? Have you checked out the crank yet? Figure out what went through the engine yet?

after riding it a couple times to make sure I like the strap position.

    wammer hood

i don't think that is very feasible. I still need to be able to dig my finger in there to release the ratchet. And the ratchet will never be in the up position while riding,

    wammer hood

But at least for the first two rides that you own one, you might still have that little door cover thingy. :jester:

    wammer hood

Chris' Surf Battle Boat... Never done!

I turfed the ratchet for my hood strap. I could have done better, but I think it came out alright.

Chris' Surf Battle Boat... Never done!

Thanks. A long time ago I had purchased some US composites Thin Epoxy Resin, with medium (3:1) hardener. Wish I would have had Fast hardener, but needed to use this stuff up. On top of the carbon I used FiberGlass Hawaii brand Aluzine Clear Coat Epoxy resin.
