We use a mixture of paste wax and vegetable oil at work for coating things that the foam shouldn't stick to. We primarily use 6 or 10lb foam but I'm sure the results would be the same with 3 or 4lb.

All of this talk is very interesting, but are any of the 66e conversion parts going to be readily available? I think you'd see infinitely more conversions IF the parts were all on the shelf and ready to ship. I hope that WK can pull it together for this one. He'd make a small fortune if he could.

What about for a freestyle application? Do you even want this setup for freestyle? I was thinking 13/17 Concord with a ported and big-bored 61x cyl.

When you say big HP, how big are you talking about? Big bore ported cylinder big or lamey stroker big?

I was just thinking about doing the same thing. I was going to try to find a good dense rubber foam that would absorb more of the energy. I'm interested to see how this works out.

I was assuming that whoever would try it would do so on either a new tank or one that has been allowed to vent out ALL of the fumes. Please, no one try this on a tank with gas still in it and then blame me when your house looks like the one in the picture.

I was told you can bake it in an oven to get it barely soft enough to work with, but I forgot the temp.

It's a 13/17 Concord with no mods. Dave (I think that's his name) at impros recommended it when I told him my setup.
