More than likely the starter solenoid is on the way out, jump across the two starter solenoids terminals and see if it cranks over or not

epoxy resin with US phenolic microbaloons composites filler, it will need to be roughed up with at least 80 grit paper before you put anything on it, personally I would go 40 grit, coat the whole thing, you can mix it a little soupy and apply it with a paintbrush if you like.

Carb adjustments have nothing to do with pump cavitation, how well is the bearing housing sealed to the hull? Also just because it won't go does not mean its cavitation, I had a lake call last year where they said the boat was cavitating, turned out to be a bad needle and seat in the carb.

There were severe injuries to someones pride and their wallet, I believe the wallet took the hardest hit BTW I do repairs like that in my sleep lol
