Usually if its rusted on the outside its found its way inside as well, you can actually pull those apart and rebuild them if you unsolder the wires carefully though.

Don't run it , 98gti brought his SN to me last year to tune in the carbs, I didn't know it at the time but he had one of these fake heads installed, while it ran fine here, it blew his engine all to hell later last year, don't risk it !
