running it on the hose should not cause that problem...
there could also be fuel leak rather than an air leak. or even an obstruction in the fuel line. Or the fuel peacock could be clogged.
Sounds like the engine is dieseling. That is when the spark plugs become so hot that they continue to ignite the gasoline even with out spark.
For some reason the ski running too lean.
that I cannot tell you about cutting the hose. I have never worked with an FX chamber before. Just use your best judgment when cutting. Cut a little at a time.
you just need to find a nice pry point to get the manifold off. maybe use a rubber mallet????
the two holes you speak of will now remain empty once you install your new manifold.
never thought of that... i probably shouldn't have but I just used a very very light coat of silicone lubricant. I was just getting so tired of fighting the damn thing I went ahead and sprayed it down.
When installing the chamber I have found it best to start with the manifold connected to the engine that is already installed into the hull.
Next you want to take the chamber and position it where it will normally sit and slip the front of the chamber into the hose going to the water box...
i remember trying to order a while ago and they said that they will only discount products that have "hydro turf" logo in the turf, like when you buy a pre cut mat kit. They wouldn't discount a plain sheet. But this was a while ago, maybe it has changed.
I offered to become a mod about 6-8 months ago but was told there was no need. I am on the x all day at work so I might as well be doing something useful.
I have a Pro 1 non griddled head with removable domes. It is on a 61x Cylinder. Just wondering if any one has any experience with this head and which company can supply replacement domes. I will post pictures of the existing domes I do have when I can snap some pictures.
I searched for "Pro 1"...
