Have you had flywheel off lately? Loose flywheel will cause crank/coupler to get VERY hot.

Just put some scratches on it and you won't worry about the water spots. Or use "ducky", used to use it to keep the spots off of mine. Spray and wipe.

On a stock head how close due the es's get to the top of the piston? maybe I missed something?

That was my thinking, If the head bolts are torqued higher than the case bolts you are doing the same thing the ADA system does.

If you can find a KDX 200/220 they are a great all around bike with cheap maintenance and minimal cost to get you going. JMO of course.

Yes it does if you catch them at the right time. I've bought it before. Had some small bubbles/voids on the smooth side, other than that, it looked fine.
