    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

Also worth mentioning it’s a 16 cell antigravity battery

    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

It’s a brand new battery. Hopefully it’s good. The smart charger doesn’t show a fault, but I’ll check that out. Didn’t think of that. I haven’t checked for a constant draw, but the spark was a lot bigger than what you would expect from a functioning system. The battery also discharged from full...

    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

Any thoughts on where I should start when looking for the draw?

    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

After 30 mins of charging it still was low. When I hooked up the battery cable there was a bit of a spark. Obvious draw on the battery. Not sure where it would be coming from since most of the electronics have been removed. The rectifier is usually the first thing I check. I cranked it and it...

    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

One thought I have is low battery. I left it connected overnight. Maybe there’s a small draw. I’m running TL. I only have a pulser coil installed, no charging or lighting and removed the regulator/rectifier from the ebox. This is my first time using the zeel.

    Zeeltronic intermittent spark

Need some quick help from you zeel guys. About to go to a cottage for a week so I need to fix this now. I just finished building my ski late last night. Cranked it over to check spark and it looked great. I just put fuel in and it fires ever 8-10 rotations. Pulled a plug to check spark and it...

    Question on used gas

Smoke them with the flares? Not a bad idea. Safer for me.

    Question on used gas

I'm having a mole problem in my vegetable garden right now. This did cross my mind. I'm leaning more towards mixing bleach and acid to make chlorine gas and letting fill the holes. Seems mildly safer, mostly for the plants.

Fuel tank bolted instead of strapped

I think that's my biggest concern I'm not too worried about the tabs. I can make them as strong as I need. The tank on the other hand might get cracks in the walls. There will definitely be some flopping. I was thinking about having it on turf on the bottom of the tank, but would still need...

    Question on used gas

Don't put it in your SJ. Adding more oil means less fuel in the ratio. You run the risk of running lean. Just put it in the jeep. I dump all my old gas in my truck when I have a nearly full tank.

Fuel tank bolted instead of strapped

I just got a new motor that will use a laydown pipe instead of the b-pipe, so I'm fitting everything in my hull and trying to figure out where to place the mounts for the straps for the fuel tank, pipe, etc. I started thinking, since I made an aluminum fuel tank, what's wrong with welding some...

    Almost disaster

Keep you idle slightly rich, where you get good throttle response and the idle low enough that it can still idle on its own, but will load up fuel in the bottom end. I have one ski without a lanyard and one with. They both will die after 10 seconds of idle. The one without the lanyard will idle...

    Super Jet bolt spread sheet

That's what I was looking for, but it's also wrong. It's just bolt placement, which is easy to figure out, but a pain in the ass when you put the long bolt in where it says and after you're done with all the bolts, there's one sticking out the other side.

    Super Jet bolt spread sheet

Building my second motor in two weeks. This manual and the live document that I can’t find right now have the bed plate bolts in the wrong spots. Port has four bolts. The short is mid/rear and the long bolt is rear. Starboard side has three bolts, all 70mm.

Yamaha 701 With High Compression And Tight Squish

Play it safe. That's tight squish. Either use the stock head or thicker base gasket. If you can't get a gasket by the weekend, buy some gasket paper and cut your own. That would probably be the easiest way to get the thicker base gasket. It's very likely that motor will blow if you run as is.

    Test Subjects wanted!!

I got a chance to compare a treated and untreated bearing side by side. With grease removed, there seems to be a slight difference in rolling resistance (better). It's definitely a treatment rather than coating. There's no buildup on the bearing. I can't say much about wear. Maybe I'll update in...

What's your view look like today?

I was trying to figure out where that was. I was thinking closer to Burlington. I was way off!! Before you even mentioned Avril, that's what I was thinking. Every time I go by Napanee she's the first thing that comes to mind because that's the only thing I know about the town. When I drive to...

    91 SJ 650 won’t start

That area should be watertight. With your flywheel being that rusty, there's a very good chance something on the stator is bad. When you put it back together, replace the o-ring on the starter, use a new cover gasket and make sure the mating surface is clean. Use a razor blade to scrape the junk...
