How much to get HIN tags made up?

For you guys who had HIN's made up for aftermarket hulls, how much did it cost to get a set of tags made up?

I've inquired about getting some Billet ones made or possibly Stainless and just want to know how comparable it will be. Also, did anyone find a shop that would/could make them out of stainless like the factory Yamaha ones?

So far I have;
Billet, $50 each
Stainless $75 each

I'm told that if there is enough interest and a run can be done then the prices could be significantly lower.

I have an engraver and tons of the material at work I just didn't want to have to figure out how to use it, plus I wanted something more durable than plastic.

are you planning on riveting one to the hull?

Yeah, I was thinking that way, I wanted to match the Stainless tags like the ones on my 07 SJ. One on the rear of the hull and one on the bulkhead.

Call me anal but I like the pro touch on all my builds.

I dont like the idea of riveting to the brand new hull, also didnt know they switched to metal HIN's....Ive only ever had the plastic ones

do up a nice metal one and mount it inside

No different than drilling and attaching a scupper or versiplug.
Here's the tag off my 07...

Just a thought, but if you have the material, you can go to a local mall that does engraving on jewelery and they can do it. If you find the right shop, they would probably do it for next to nothing. This is what I did with my Carbon B1.

no, its really no different...just unnecessary

I'm sure alot of the things i do fall into that category. I'm quirky that way. It comes from boredom really, I need constant stimulus and work is slow lately and my build is at a standstill.

I have an fx that needs to be sanded and a shed that needs to be built?

oh yeah, some big branches bout 30 feet up need to be cut down and my yard needs to be raked despite the 60 bags of leaves we ALREADY put out this year

LOL, Good luck with that.

This didn't really seem like it would be a big deal, I just thought it would be a nice touch to a nice clean build. If the prices were closer I'd say i'd do it but it's kind of hard to argue with a $7 plastic HIN tag.

I feel your pain. My house sits on 5 and a half acres of Oak trees. When we built the house, my wife wanted to leave as many trees as possible. I grew up in house in the middle of a hey field, so I didn't know chit about leaves. Never crossed my mind. The first fall I learned real quick how I wish I would have leveled every friggin tree on the lot.

My only saving grace is my father in law bought one of those pull behind leaf vacuums. I have to be honest, that thing ranks up there with duct tape and vice grips as the greatest inventions known to man.

You are more than welcome to come out and hang! I will gladly put a rake in your hand.

Make you a deal, you bring me a set of cases, you can stay as long as you like.

Scottie, you need to get an echo commercial backpack blower. I have one for the 4 properties i manage on the side. Best invention ever next to snap-on cordless impact guns. I have used it to blow the snow off cars and walks, too.

I had to make some plastic HIN to ride last year in daytona. Damn water cops. Went to a trophy shop and had them engrave one with white lettering and then i painted the whole thing black and epoxied it behind the ebox. cost me 5 bucks.

No rake bud, no chance, a couple of days of that and I would build some type of machinery to take care of the leaf problem.

Can I bring my machines with?

I'm not thinking about hanging out, I'm talking more along the lines of moving to the 5 acres next door bud.

In southern California a half or full acre is considered quite a spread.
